Winds of change

Winds of change.

Independence Day: Centre urges states to discourage use of plastic ...

The wind blows ‘cross the mighty motherland,

Made of hills, plains and sands.

Traversed by the raging rivers,

A land full of givers.

Givers of knowledge so vast,

Harboring ships with their masts,

Bearing any flags,

Not knowing that they would turn ‘her’ riches to rags.

To shed the rags of bondage,

Her children gave us the adage,

“Fight for swaraj, our birthright”,

And “No one can challenge satyagraha’s might.”

The times have been changing,

But the winds have stopped blowing,

Telling us that we have indeed progressed,

But we also have transgressed.

Transgressed to such an extent,

That we are now indifferent,

To those who betray our “mother”,

By saying, “Oh! It affects some other.”

We forget that we might be that some other person,

And while the corrupt hold our “mother” for arson,

And the debauchers roam around in glee,

Our mother will never be free.

The winds of change shall blow once more,

This time we shall eradicate the gore,

With the ancient ethereal wisdom,

Giving ‘her’ true freedom.

Breathe

I breathe now, To live and laugh tomorrow, To fulfil hopes and goals, of several loved souls. Each breath makes me wonder, How do they stay asunder? From loved souls who have them in a hold, Just to get someone a breath so bold. Their breaths are muffled, As they keep up their hustle, Not stopping to breathe, Eternally resting with just a condolence wreath?

LIVING HELL

LIVING HELL   The state of my life right now, having all the time in the world to relax, is the exact representation of ‘living hell’, the way a nice buttered up croissant is ‘living hell’ for a hypertensive patient, but extremely attractive to a normal person. “Oh! The grass is always greener on the other side.”, is one of the constant lines by almost all motivational speakers and every random person under the sun who claims to understand us. Utter nonsense. My mind when in a conundrum                 To understand my conundrum, let us delve deeper into ‘heaven, hell and living’ .  The topography of hell                                                        Hell, Pluto, many are its names but the meaning is the same. When we imagine the darker side, all of us have similar visions, yet diffe...

The Double Tap Conundrum

The Double Tap Conundrum The entire millennial generation is hooked onto the social media. This is not bad or good either. It’s a personal choice. The need for social validation and being a pack goes back to the times when humans were hunting and staying in groups. Times changed drastically, we all started hunting for food using supermarkets and our arenas of food became the wonderfully decorated aisles and the sale boards. Our clothing issues changed from covering for protection to covering for self-confidence and happiness because who are we kidding, everyone feels confident when dressed properly and looking dapper. Our basic needs are still the same, with the addition of the internet and the accessories and additions that come along with it. Social validation is one of the most important catalysts of human development. If a person feels like the society like and confirms him or her…then that person feels satisfied in being. When a person, let’s say Jane, posts a p...
